UT ECE professor Seth Bank is part of a research team that recently was awarded funding through the Department of Defense's Multidisciplinary University Research Initiative (MURI). According to the Department of Defense, the "highly competitive MURI program complements DoD basic research programs that support traditional, single-investigator university research. Multidisciplinary University Research Initiatives incentivize research by multidisciplinary teams through larger and longer awards." Prof. Bank's team's focus is on "Quantum Metaphotonics and Metamaterials: From Single Emitters to Strongly Correlated Systems."
